Cami de Cavalls 360º

We had different plans but due to the pandemic we had to change the project for a more local destination. And we chose Menorca because it is an island that we all had been there a lot of times but never with the bikes, and we thought it was the time to do so. The project was to do the round to the island through the “Camí de Cavalls 360º”. The Camí de Cavalls is an ancient path with an uncertain origin but its widely accepted that its function was military: the lookouts use it to guard the coast from the enemies. It was patrolled by soldiers riding on Menorquin horses, hence the word “cavalls” (meaning horses in catalan).

3 Days around Menorca

The path is divided in 20 different stages, each them between 5 and 14km and the whole path is around 185km. This was the plan, but to do it in 3 stages. It was an action promoted by Menorca Tourism Office and we had the help of Joan Febrer, owner of the company Camí de Cavalls 360º, who helped us in the tracks, logistics of the whole project.

The other partners of the project were: Baleària, Gobik and Sponser.
